FHSAA Academic All-State Team

Congratulations to Robbie Haben on being named to the FHSAA Academic
All State Team. The FHSAA only selects 24 student athletes from across the state for this honor and Robbie joins
Kory Pugh as the only Pine Castle students ever named to this team. Robbie will receive a $1000 award and medallion and will
attend a banquet on June 4th at the Orlando Airport Marriott. There is a link below to the FHSAA website that lists the
qualifications for the award and all 24 athletes named to the team.
FHSAA Academic All State Team
Congratulations to both Dejai Oliver and Emily Carosone on being named
as All Central Florida Team members in their respective spring sports. Dejai, a senior baseball pitcher, was named
to the first team and help lead his team to the Regional Finals and pitched a perfect game in his final high school start.
He ended the season with an impressive 0.90 ERA and will be attending Seminole Community College on an athletic scholarship
in the fall. Emily, a freshman softball infielder, was named to the second team and completed her 4th year on the varsity
team. She helped the Lady Eagles to a Regional Semifinal appearance and has been a key member on both of Pine Castles State
Championship teams.
Varsity Weightlifting

Shaun Stoffer After Shaun Stoffer won the Sub Regional 169 weight class by benching 300 pounds and clean and jerking 230
pounds, he went on to place 10th at the State Meet with a combined 525 pound lift. Congratulations to Shaun
on being the first Pine Castle weightlifter to advance to the State Meet.
Congratulations to the Boys Track and Field Team members who qualified for
the State Meet, which was held at Showalter Field in Winter Park this past Friday: Kristen Pugh - High Jump Peter Connole - High Jump Jake Bellet - 300M Hurdles Justin Mims - 400M Dash Girls 4X100 - Nicole Leveille, Rackell Goldson, Shawn Randall, Sarah Woods Special recognition to Peter Connole and Justin Mims on both receiving medals for top 8 finishes
in their events. Peter placed 3rd in the state in the high jump and Justin finished 7th in the state in the 400 meter
dash.

Congratulations to the following Pine Castle senior athletes on
their recent commitments to college in the fall. They will be attending college on athletic scholarships and will be representing
the Eagles at the next level.

Madison Westwood Congratulations to Madison Westwood on being honored by USA Volleyball last month with the Ben Johnson
Memorial Scholarship Award. Madison had to submit an essay, most recent high school grades, coach’s letter of recommendation,
and personal references as part of the application for the award. Madison was presented the scholarship during the annual
awards banquet by the Commissioner of the Florida Region and by the late Ben Johnson’s wife. Madison has also committed
to play volleyball at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce. Madison was awarded a full athletic/academic scholarship
and will join the Pioneer Volleyball team as an Outside Hitter this fall, playing under head coach Rosalee Keogh.




Congratulations to Kyle Meredith, Clay Gibson, Dejai Oliver
and Jordan Strickland on being named to the Class 2A District 8 All District Team. This team is made up of the top 12
players in the district and was selected by a vote from all the head coaches from the district teams.

Dejai Oliver Congratulations to Senior Varsity Baseball Player Dejai Oliver, who recently committed to play at
Seminole Community College next year on a baseball scholarship.

Robbie Haben Congratulations to Robbie Haben on accepting an athletic/academic baseball
scholarship to attend George Washington University next year. George Washington University is considered one of the top ten
most expensive and prestigious universities in the country. Robbie will join the Varsity Baseball Team and look to help them
to a successful season once the basketball season is complete.

Clay Gibson Congratulations to Senior Varsity Baseball Player Clay Gibson, who recently committed to play at Emmanuel
College next year on a baseball scholarship. Clay will most likely play first base at the collegiate level.

Jordan Strickland Jordan will be attending Polk Community College in the fall on a baseball scholarship and has
been a huge addition to the Pine Castle Baseball Program. Jordan is looking to continue to help the baseball team on a successful
season and possibly to the State Final Four, which would be a first in our school's history.

Kyle Meredith Kyle has signed an athletic scholarship and will be attending Florida Tech in the fall. Kyle
had an outstanding year for the Eagles, pitching an impressive extra inning complete game in the Regional Finals in
his final high school start.

Max Hoevenaar Congratulations
to Max Hoevenaar on being accepted to Lesley University, which is located in Cambridge Massachusetts. Max has received a scholarship
and will compete on the basketball team in the winter. Lesley competes in the New England Collegiate Conference.

Peter Connole Peter will be attending the University of West Florida, which is located in Pensacola and will be
a member of the men's basketball team. Peter has been a key member of this years boys basketball, boys volleyball
and track teams at Pine Castle.



Offensive Lineman Dean Baptiste and David Alls were both named to the 1B
First Team All State Team this past week. David, who played running back, defensive back and quarterback for the varsity
football team was named to the team as a punter averaging 42.1 yards per punt this season. Running back Cody Large was named
to the All State Second Team for the Eagles. Congratulations to all three on being recognized as some of the best football
players in their classification in the state of Florida.

Cody Large Cody will be attending Beloit College, located in Beloit, Wisconsin and will be competing in
both baseball and football at the next level. Cody has played both baseball and football the last few season at Pine Castle
and was a key component in the beginning and development of the Varsity Football Program at Pine Castle.

David Alls Congratulations to David Alls on signing a full grant-in-aid this Thursday morning to Division II
Assumption College in Worcester, MA. David is being recruited as an utility player and he becomes the 8th Pine Castle football
player in the program's four years of existence to receive a football scholarship. David was also named as the 1B
Football District 10 Player of the Year.
Eagle Exchange PE
Uniforms are now in and available in the Eagle Exchange. Extras can be purchased for $10 each. The Athletic
Department is selling the old White Football Game Jerseys for $25 per jersey. There are still plenty of jerseys left and they
are the jerseys from Pine Castle's inaugural season. You can contact the athletic office at 407-438-2742 to select from
the remaining jersey numbers. The money collected from the sales will go to purchasing new football jerseys next season.
