Athletics
is an integral part of Pine Castle Christian Academy! My name is Mark Rickman, and I have been blessed to be the athletic
director for the past five years at a school whose vision is to serve as a training facility for strong Christian leaders
of tomorrow. The vision of our athletic department goes hand in hand with the school’s mission, and I feel that through
athletic competition a student’s real character can be tested and developed. Results are important, but at Pine
Castle Christian Academy personal and spiritual growth are more greatly valued.
Athletics teach a student
how to work with others, handle success and failure, accept criticism and praise from authority, and also learn the value
and meaning of hard work. My goal as athletic director is to hire coaches who view coaching as their mission in life, a
vehicle to influence their athletes to be more like Christ. God has richly blessed Pine Castle Christian Academy with some
of the greatest coaches in the nation. You can further learn about the 30 PCCA high school and middle school teams and
their success by exploring this website. We also have programs for our elementary students, and many of those are coached
by our high school athletes. We feel this builds a sense of community and the results can be seen at any of our sporting
events that are very well supported by all!
